Playing The Panquake Numbers Game
No, it's not Sudoku. Far more exciting than that - well to us anyway, and hopefully to you too.
For a little more than a month, highly-anticipated social network Panquake has been onboarding its first paid subscribers to the Panquake Lite network. Here, we take a look at where Panquake is at and what is coming next for this exciting new AI-free, advertising-free social media experience.

Deciphering the numbers
5 years ago Panquake first recognised and articulated the need for a new direction for social media and reached out to like minded people for support. It came flooding in, and so the Panquake Community was founded.
36 days ago Panquake began sending out the first invites to campaign supporters, offering to onboard them to Panquake Lite.
100 accounts have been created on Panquake Lite so far
20% of Panquake’s target 500 Lite accounts are already activated and utilising the network
100% of the feedback from early subscribers has been resoundingly positive
3000 quakes (messages) have been posted on Panquake Lite to date
100% of posts are real, authentic human-generated content - not bots
12 months - the most common Panquake subscription tier chosen by users
0 the number of Panquake subscribers who have to worry about their data being tracked and sold
Panquake Chief Commercial Officer Rene de Wit said “It’s so amazing to be able to chat on Panquake with some of the loyal community who have followed and supported us from the beginning. It still feels a bit surreal, we’ve worked so hard and waited so long for this, so it’s a deeply gratifying experience to finally be able to witness the reactions of users as they get to see, touch and feel Panquake in action for the very first time. With every new user we add, the network becomes even more dynamic and exciting.”
The first 150-200 Panquake Lite users are each being personally onboarded by members of the Panquake leadership team. This means users are being trained in how to use Panquake by the product designers themselves. Once the velocity of user signups snowball and personally onboarding users is no longer sustainable for the team, users will receive an onboarding video guide and will create their accounts themselves.
Investing time and care in every user Panquake onboards is already paying off - as it is creating a solid core of Panquake Lite users with depth of knowledge about application functionality, who are able to skill-share with and support other users as the network grows.

Panquake donors: You may already have been invited!
The Panquake Lite onboarding invitations started by going out to a select few supporters known to the team but recently, that has already begun expanding to inviting some of the 3,800+ Panquake campaign donors. Donor outreach will continue until all donors have been invited - but this is a manual process that will take some time to achieve so your continued patience is key.
However, some donors have reported only finding their invitations when they checked their junk or spam folders in the email accounts that they used when making their Panquake donations. So if you are one of the many people hungry to be onboarded to Panquake - please regularly check your junk/spam folders.
The Panquake Support Team is available at contact@talkliberation.com and says: “We value our community and will always reply to your emails. Please add us to your address book and/or check your Spam/Junk Mail folder when expecting a response from us.”
But when can more of us join, you ask?
It’s taking a huge effort by volunteers to support this Panquake Lite launch and is being done on a shoe-string budget (if you can help with that - please do so here!!). Panquake can’t wait to get out to the broader public, but this is a high risk time for a young and fiercely independent company with limited resources. The onboarding of users and scaling of the network has to be carefully balanced with Panquake’s ability to support them. This is not your typical social network where users have to talk to an AI customer support bot when they need help - or where content moderation decisions are automated - its one where users are real community members who get to interact and talk with real humans on the Panquake team.
Panquake takes very seriously its duty of care and needs to continue bringing on trusted users with a vested interest in protecting the application, to test Panquake’s daily operations, and then Panquake can expand outwards from there.
When will Panquake Beta be released?
The Panquake Beta functionality has been developed in tandem to Panquake Lite. As soon as Panquake is confident that Panquake Lite is stable for its 500 users and scaling well, Panquake will move to complete the blockchain integration and relocate the network to the public Panquake.com domain. At that point, the user cap will be raised to 5,000 Panquake Beta users, who will be invited to join the network. Later on, Panquake will activate the “Invite” functionality that will allow Panquake users to invite their friends, families and community members to the network, and Panquake will grow organically.
